Privacy Policy
MaestroNote has no accounts and no servers of its own. Your scores, ink, and analysis stay on your devices and, if you turn on iCloud, in your private iCloud account. This policy covers the few cases where someone else handles data.

The short version
No account, no tracking
The app has no sign-in. Its Apple privacy manifest declares no collected data types and no tracking.
Your library stays yours
Scores, ink, and analysis live on your device and, with iCloud on, in your private iCloud account. We can’t read them.
Analytics only if you say yes
The website uses Google Analytics only after you accept it in the cookie notice. If you reject it, the site sets no cookies.
1. Who this policy covers
This policy applies to the MaestroNote apps for Mac, iPad, and iPhone and to the maestronote.app website. “MaestroNote,” “we,” and “us” mean the developer of MaestroNote. The app is currently in beta through Apple TestFlight.
2. Your library and files
MaestroNote has no account and no sign-in, and it sends nothing to servers of ours. Everything you work with is stored on your device: managed copies of the PDF scores you import, ink strokes, annotation layers, page corrections such as rotating, cropping, or reordering, and your analysis data.
Importing a score creates a copy inside the app. The original file isn’t touched. Deleting a document in MaestroNote removes the app’s copy together with its annotations and analysis, and leaves the original file where it was.
The app’s Apple privacy manifest declares no collected data types and no tracking. We don’t receive your scores or annotations, and the app doesn’t send us usage data.
3. iCloud sync
If iCloud is enabled, MaestroNote syncs your library between your devices through your own private iCloud account, using CloudKit and iCloud Drive. That data goes from your devices to Apple and is handled under Apple’s privacy policy. We have no access to it and can’t read it.
You can turn iCloud off for MaestroNote in your device settings.
4. The TestFlight beta
MaestroNote is distributed as a beta through Apple TestFlight. If you join, Apple shares with us what TestFlight provides, for example the email address used for your invitation, crash reports, and any feedback or screenshots you choose to send. We use this to invite testers, find and fix problems, and reply to feedback.
TestFlight is run by Apple, and Apple’s privacy policy covers what it collects from you. A screenshot you send us shows everything that was on screen, so check it before you send it.
5. This website
maestronote.app is a static website hosted on Cloudflare. Cloudflare processes technical request data, such as your IP address and your browser’s user agent, to deliver the site and protect it.
The first time you visit, a notice asks whether we can use Google Analytics. If you accept, it tells us which pages people read and where visits come from. Google then sets cookies whose names start with _ga, which last up to two years, and processes a cookie identifier, your browser and device, an approximate location derived from your IP address, and the pages you visit. Google may process this data in the United States, under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. We don’t use it for advertising.
If you reject it, Google Analytics doesn’t load and the site sets no cookies. You can change your answer whenever you like from the Cookies link at the bottom of every page. Rejecting after you accepted also deletes the Google Analytics cookies.
Fonts are hosted on the site itself, so your browser doesn’t contact Google Fonts or any other font service.
Your browser remembers on your device whether you accepted analytics and whether you chose light or dark mode. Neither choice is sent anywhere.
The waitlist form on the page doesn’t send or store anything yet, and the site doesn’t currently collect email addresses. If that changes, we’ll update this policy.
7. Your choices
Most of this is in your hands:
- Leave iCloud off, or turn it off for MaestroNote in your device settings, if you want your library to stay on one device.
- Delete a document in the app to remove its copy, annotations, and analysis. Your original file stays untouched.
- TestFlight feedback and screenshots are optional. Send only what you want us to see.
- Accept or reject Google Analytics in the cookie notice, and change your answer from the Cookies link at the bottom of any page.
8. Your rights and complaints
If we hold personal data about you, for example the email address from a TestFlight invitation or a message you sent us, you can ask to access it, correct it, or have it deleted by emailing hola@maestronote.app.
If you’re in the EU and think we’ve handled your data wrongly, you can complain to your data protection authority. In Spain, that’s the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD).
9. Changes and contact
We may update this policy when the app, the website, or the services behind them change, for example if the waitlist starts collecting email addresses. The date at the top shows the latest revision.
For privacy questions or requests, email hola@maestronote.app.
